PDRM is now having a petrol car from an american brand name Chevrolet. During the 2011 General Police and Special Equipment Exhibition and Conference (2011 GPEC) at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), Chevrolet through NAZA group has unveiled the Cruze and Captiva patrol fleet.

Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, NAZA Group of Companies Joint Group Executive Chairman has handing over 3 cars, which were two Chevrolet Captivas and a Chevrolet Cruze to the YB Dato Hishamuddin Tun Hussein, Minister of Home Affairs Malaysia.

During the press conference, Datuk Wira said “I am certain that the Chevrolet Cruze and Captiva will exceed the stringent requirement of the police force”.

PDRM has various type of brand in their patrol car inventory list. The most powerful is the Mitsubishi EVO 10 and the recent one was the Proton Inspira and now they are having another 3 from Chevrolet. The 3 Chevrolet I guess was not given for free, it could be as a test car for future consideration as PDRM patrols fleet.

The Most Secure Vehicle in the World, this what we can described on the new Pullman Limousine-the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard Pullman.

If the name Pullman sounds familiar, that’s because the name has been given to extra-long wheelbase Benzes with the grandest of rear passenger compartments. The name actually dates back to luxurious railroad sleeping cars, but Mercedes-Benz has used the name since 1928, when a Pullman version of the W 08/460 Nurburg model debuted. Since then, the name has become legendary and some older models sell for high six-digit prices at auctions. The S600 promises to be the finest Pullman yet.

It has been tested to a B6/B7 resistance level by state-approved organizations, and further requirements have been certified by independent organizations. That translates to military-grade call-arms projectile resistance and protection from hand grenade fragments. Run-flat tires are obviously used, and the S600 Guard also has a self-sealing fuel tank and a fire-extinguishing system. All of these elements are integrated into the bodyshell, rather than being retrofitted, so the car’s structure as a whole is further reinforced. No expenses have been spared to make the finest, most secure vehicle in the world. The first models are expected to roll out of Sindelfingen (where specialists equip the base car) in late 2008.

The BMW M6 based AC Schnitzer Tension concept is a one-off show car for use as a technology platform. The heavily modified BMW M6 has undergone an extensive overhaul of both aesthetics and mechanics.

The already powerful ‘standard’ M6 engine has been uprated to 552 horsepower, and peak torque in the Tension is now 398 lb ft @ 6200. The increased figures are made possible by fitting a new engine management system, manifold and full length exhaust. The standard 155 mph speed limiter has also been replaced, and top speed of the AC Schnitzer Tension is now just over 200 mph.

To reign in the speed, AC Schnitzer has fitted their steroid junkie M6 with powerful 8 piston calipers and 374 mm ventilated discs up front, with four piston calipers grabbing the standard rear rotors. The super light 20″ wheels are a special addition to the Tension Concept, however they will also be added to AC Schnitzer’s line of BMW M5 and M6 special parts.
Handling on the Tension has been improved with the fitment of 30mm lower, stiffened racing suspension, and front and rear anti-roll bars.

The body of the AC Schnitzer Tension concept has the most obvious custom additions. Starting with the front end, both the front skirt and bonnet have been modified to direct cooling air over the brakes and engine whilst enhancing the overall appearance. The side skirts have been altered, and now include small air vents positioned just in front of the rear wheel.

The AC Schnitzer rear skirt has also been extensively modified on the Tension to incorporate both twin exhausts, and an underfloor spoiler complete with diffuser.

The Mercedes SL-Class is set to continue its long success story after the latest product update. The Brabus engineers and designers have left no stone unturned to make the roadster even sportier and more exclusive. Equipped with the Brabus SV12 S Biturbo twelve-cylinder twin-turbo engine that delivers 730 bhp, the SL 600 turns into the world’s most powerful roadster. 0 – 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and 124 mph after just 10.9 seconds speak to its prowess as does its top speed electronically limited to 217 mph.

More power by increasing displacement is one of the core philosophies behind the Brabus SV12 S Biturbo engine. The displacement of the twelve-cylinder three-valve engine is increased from 5.5 to 6.3 liters with the help of a billet steel crankshaft, larger cylinder bore, special pistons and piston rods. The conversion also includes re-machining the cylinder heads and fitting them with special camshafts.

The peripherals of the twin-turbo engine also play a large role in the engine’s power yield. The Brabus engineers have also developed a completely new turbocharging system with two larger turbochargers and more efficient intercoolers. Metal catalysts with low back pressure let the Brabus SV12 S Biturbo displacement engine breathe more freely.

The Brabus SV12 S Biturbo Engine

Rated power output jumps from standard 517 bhp at 5,000 rpm to 730 bhp at just 5,100 rpm. Simultaneously peak torque grows from 613 lb-ft to 974 lb-ft, available from 2,100 rpm. Custom engine mapping ensures that peak torque in the car is limited electronically to 812 lb-ft.

Performance of the powerful two-seater speaks volumes: With a sprint time of 3.8 seconds from rest to 60 mph, 10.5 seconds to 124 mph, 29.5 seconds to 186 mph and an electronically limited top speed of 217 mph, the Brabus SV S 12 Biturbo roadster is one of the fastest sports cars in the world.

Form and Function at the Highest Level of Perfection

The Brabus aerodynamic-enhancement parts are available for all current SL models and give the SL a sporty yet elegant appearance while at the same time providing aerodynamic benefits. At high speeds they reduce lift on the front axle and thus further improve directional stability.

For the latest SL generation the Brabus designers have developed a strikingly styled front fascia whose sophisticated shape reduces lift on the front axle. The large central air inlet further optimizes cooling of engine and front brakes. The high-quality Pur-R-Rim Brabus front fascia with its four auxiliary headlights is designed to be fastened to the original mounting points and thus simply replaces the production bumper.

The Brabus rocker panels smooth the airstream between the wheel arches and come with a useful extra feature: Pushing a button on the keyless-entry remote or pulling on an inside door handle activates four LED entrance lights on either side of the car. They illuminate the ground next to the vehicle and help to avoid unfortunate missteps in the dark.

The Brabus designer suit for the new SL is rounded out by the Brabus rear fascia with integrated diffuser. It too was designed to replace the original part and fits precisely in its place.

Just as important for a customized look are one-piece or multi-piece Brabus Monoblock light-alloy wheels that can be mounted on the two-seater in various designs and diameters ranging from 17 to 20 inches. The largest possible version for the R 230 series SL features multi-piece Brabus Monoblock VI, S or E wheels in size 9Jx20 in front with size 255/30 ZR20 tires. On the rear axle the wheels measure 10.5Jx20 with Pirelli or Yokohama tires in size 305/25 ZR20.

For further improving the incredible handling of the latest SL roadster Brabus has developed an electronic module for the ABC suspension that lowers the ride height by about half an inch.

The new V12 is the centerpiece of Peugeot’s endurance-racing effort in 2007, including its attempt to wrest the glory away from Audi at next year’s Le Mans 24-hour race.

This is the 908 RC, and it will probably be the most insane vehicle to debut at the Paris show, this September. It’s a large, very graceful looking four-seat, four-door coupe (a-la Benz CLS), but, the real kicker is that it’s powered by a racing car engine. Under the lengthy schnozz is Peugeot’s new 5.5-litre, 100-degree V12 engine that makes 700 horsepower and 885 lb-ft nm torque. But there’s a catch: it’s a turbodiesel. The 908 RC is the car which will debut Peugeot’s new racing diesel engine which it will fit to an open-topped racing vehicle for next year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, to dethrone Audi, no doubt. Interestingly, because of the front-mid engine position, the 908 RC actually has two trunks, which have a sum total of 550 litres.

The engine is mounted transversely behind the passenger compartment in the four-door, four-passenger concept. It is coupled with a six-speed sequential gearbox located beneath the engine.
