Nissan Almera 2013 Review

The brand new Nissan Almera is finally launched by Tan Chong Motors. Nissan Almera has secured   2,000 booking without even test-driving it. For record, the Almera is Nissan’s best-selling model in the world.

This latest model showcases our continued commitment to providing affordable car ownership to Malaysians from all walks of life.”  The Almera is built on an all-new global “V” (versatile) platform which uses a lightweight yet rigid body.

This is the Almera which is a direct descendant of the Sunny (in fact, it carries that name in some markets like China).

The Nissan Almera comes with few variants which known as standard specification (E), well equipped (V) & full specification (VL).

The Almera is available only with one engine – the 1.5-litre HR15DE which has variable valve timing (CVTC) and throttle control by electronic signals rather than cable (Drive-by-wire). The output is 102 ps at 6000 rpm with 139 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.

The Almera meets the latest 2012 regulations introduced in July this year.

Safety is taken care of by front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, as well as ISOFIX Child Seat System.

Also notable is the provision of 3-point seatbelts for all three rear occupants. In many cases, the centre occupant usually gets a 2-point seatbelt but the Almera comes with a 3-point type for this person as well.

Almera Fuel efficiency/ consumption

The Nissan’s latest 1.5-litre HR15DE four-cylinder engine featuring Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control (CVTC) offers excellent fuel efficiency of 14.9km/l for automatic transmission and 15.9km/l for manual transmission (combined cycle based on Nissan testing).

The car comes in a choice of five colours; Bronze Gold, Sapphire Black, Twilight Grey, Tungsten Silver and Brilliant White.

The Almera is arguably the cheapest 1.5-litre B-segment non-national car in the market, being priced from RM66,800 to RM79,800.

Almera E Manual – RM66,800.00 | Almera E Automatic – RM69,800.00
Almera V Automatic – RM76,800.00 | Almera VL Automatic – RM79,800.00

The Nissan Almera price is in line with Tan Chong’s commitment to providing affordable car ownership to Malaysians.

Almera Personalisation

For more personalisation, customers can opt for the Almera optional accessories. Premium accessories include the on board multimedia navigation console (with a rear view, DVD player, iPod connectivity, USB and Bluetooth capabilities), LED kicking plate and luxurious leather seats.

Sport accessories by IMPUL Motor Racing Development, tailored for Malaysian roads, are also available. The complete Tuned by IMPUL package is available for all grades for an additional RM9,500.
