Honda Malaysia launched New Honda Stream RSZ

When I was about to buy Toyota Caldina last year, one of the close options that I have in mind is Toyota Wish and Honda Stream. But since my interest is more on Toyota model I have decided to go for Caldina.

Anyway back to this Honda Stream RSZ, Honda Malaysia has introduced this week the Honda Stream RSZ to replace the current version which was introduced in 2007.

Stream RSZ will continue to be powered by the 1.8 i-VTEC SOHC 16-valve engine which produces 140 ps/103 kW of power at 6300 rpm and 174 Nm of torque at 4300 rpm. This model comes with nice and sport RSZ bodykit of which you will find previously in JDM model.

In this seven-seater RSZ model you will get also a redesigned RSZ front grille and new 17-inch alloys wheels. To enhance its sporty look, Honda provides HID (high intensity discharge) units with smoke-finish covers.Don’t worries too much about this HID thingy as JPJ will always approved it otherwise Honda will not equip it as standard features. The light is auto, its turn on in the dark, just like caldina is it ?

This RSZ will come with sunroof just like previous model, so this another good selling point to have this.

Interior look more sporty to win young people heart.Unlike previous model with regular stream’s beige, this RSZ refined with all-black theme material. The steering is now leather-wrapped but does not incorporate switches to adjust the audio system. Other new features is youwill get paddle shifters, a seat-side armrest for the driver a storage tray under the passenger seat.

Stream RSZ comes with 4 colours, the famous Premium White Pearl finish and three new colours Crystal Black Pearl, Polished Metal Metallic and New Red Pearl.

The price of Stream RSZ is RM155,980, on-the-road with insurance and will be available at all authorised Honda showrooms nationwide only from Feb 26 onwards. If you don’t like this and prefer the old version you can still get it at RM149,800.

I would expect more local car maker/distributor will unveil their new MPV model in the next few months in view of the Proton Exora ‘s strong present and strategy in local market to offer affordable MPV.
